My entire adult life has been joyfully invested and spent in ACCI’s work. Now, almost 18 years later, I still feel green and new, just like my first day on the job. Not a day goes by when I’m not aware that this is all much bigger than I am. I have no doubt of the Lord’s faithful hand over His work and His leading all these years with ACCI. How is it that we, the ordinary, get to be instruments of the “Most High God”? I cannot help but marvel at His goodness.
As the world spins right now, the impact is overwhelming. I’ve been learning to slip off my shoes, step quietly into that hidden place, close the door to the rage outside and kneel down and listen. “When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply, till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny (Psalm 73:16,17-NASB).” Brothers and sisters, I’m convinced, now more than ever, of the preciousness of the gift that we carry within our spirits–the very presence of God. This is the time where intimacy with our Creator is essential. It’s in the knowing of who He is that we watch miracles happen as we step out the door and carry His presence. It’s the answer to all the injustices, all the sorrow and grief crushing souls around us, and it’s the hope of the promise that one day He’ll make all things right. He will do what man cannot.
May His very presence be what we offer generously, graciously, boldly and tenderly to everyone we meet. Know that we pray for you all regularly. We consider it an honour and a privilege to cheer you on and run the race behind you.
“Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favour in Your sight, let me know Your ways that I might know You, so that I might find favour in Your sight. Consider too, that this nation is Your people.’ And He said, ‘My presence shall go with you and I will give you rest,” (Exodus 33:13,14 NASB).
Beautiful reminder. Thanks for this post.
