ACCI International Gathering 2017
ACCI?
ACCI serves pioneering Christians, empowering them to proclaim the gospel, fulfill their God-given visions, and advance the kingdom of God.
ACCI longs for a world where lives are transformed through the Holy Spirit, where new disciples are made and the Church reflects Christ, demonstrating unity, justice, and mercy to bring glory to the Father.
Why “Adventive” Cross Cultural Initiatives?
“Adventive” is a botanical term that denotes a recently introduced, non-native plant that thrives in a new environment. Adventive combines two words – adventure and inventive. These two words describe acci’s commitment to new ideas and groundbreaking ministry.
What makes acci unique?
While most mission sending agencies have a specific ministry focus and are looking to recruit people who can help fulfill the organization’s vision, ACCI is looking for people and organizations who want to recruit a mission sending agency to help them fulfill a vision. We seek to partner with servant leaders who have passion and vision for a specific calling. If you have a gospel-centered ministry idea, with the skills and gifts to match, we’d like to hear from you, and would love to help you find ways to best achieve these objectives for the glory of God.
History
ACCI began in Alberta, Canada as New Life League (NLL), a recognized Canadian charity established in 1986 that focused on providing resources and personnel for printing Christian literature for Asia. In 2002, leadership for NLL was transferred to a new board under Anthony Hedrick, who would serve as Executive Director from 2002-2007. The new board voted to change the name from New Life League to Adventive Cross Cultural Initiatives and the offices were moved from Alberta to Ottawa, Ontario. Since 2002, ACCI has expanded to support a wide variety of ministry projects in locations all around the world. Our vision as a ministry is as diverse as the callings of the people God sends our way.
